Testimonials from Villa Ida Guests

"We are just back from holiday and wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at your house in Lucca. Villa Ida is beautifully positioned with its brilliant views across the valley and the house itself is furnished as a home not a holiday rental. We had a really good time"

Richard Burke, Sept 2007

"If we have not said before can we say now, what a beautiful house the Villa Ida is as is the village it is in."

Frank & Helen Hennessy, July 2007

"A quick note to let you know we had a great holiday at Villa Ida. It is very well equipped and everything went according to plan. The umbrella at the back is great and we managed to eat outside every meal time except the last night when a thunder storm arrived. Easy to get to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Siena (the latter being a beautiful place). The kids also enjoyed the beach at Marina De Vecchiano."

Nolan Wood, July 2007

"I have returned to work today following my holiday and am taking the opportunity to mail you to let you know how much we enjoyed our break at Villa Ida.
This was our first visit to Tuscany and the facilities and postition of the villa far exceeded our expectations. The beautiful setting, and breathtaking views made this a truly memorable holiday. The villa was like a 'home from home' and it was lovely of your parents to meet us on our arrival to show us round. We did manage to explore and visited Lucca, Pisa and Florence as well as taking a trip high into the mountains, to look at the villages we could see accross the valley from the terrace at Villa Ida. We also spent some time relaxing in the sun on the terrace, and taking in the beautiful scenery. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Ida to friends and would most definitely consider a future return visit now that we have experienced a taste of Tuscany! "

Lesley Richards, June 2007

"We had a great time in the Villa - although we had a couple of days of rain it was generally warm and sunny - and even the misty hills around the villa were very romantic in the wetter weather. We really settled in well and were sorry to leave - I even got very adept at driving up the hill at night"

Clive Gilman, October 2006

"We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Ida and already making plans about how we can return! It is an idyllic retreat"

Alicia El Sarraj, August 2006

"Villa Ida was wonderful - a lovely tranquil setting with breathtaking views - and a in a perfect position to access the Mountains, Coast and the buzzing city of Lucca."
- N.M. Sedgwick - June 2005.

"This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we have ever had. The views, the weather, the surrounding areas, Lucca......itr really had everything to offer. The house was comfortable, tastefully furnished - a real taste of Tuscany."

- Christine & Orinthia Neilson, May 2006

"This was my first trip ever to Tuscany, something I had wanted to do for a long time. Staying at Villa Ida for me was about relaxing on the terrace at sunset, reading a good book and sipping a glass of Chianti. The gardens, the orchard, the scenery and the friendly locals - it was Italy or Tuscany as you would always imagine it. I will definitely be back."

G. Spear, September 2005

We had a wonderful holiday in Piazzano----spent in your beautiful villa ! Everything about the house is perfect, it is really comfortable and we felt very much at home. You seem to have thought of everything and all the attractive furnishings and equipment are of a very high standard.Of course it is in an amazing location and the view from the terrace is just breathtaking. We spent many happy hours sitting and staring, the banks were covered in wild cyclamen, ripe figs were falling at our feet and we could watch preparations for the olive harvest---what more could the heart desire !!! Even in October we had a week of warm sunshine and blue skies. Thank-you so much.

Jenifer Williams, October 2004

Villa Ida is spectacular in every sense! From the characterful Tuscan house and environment to the far-reaching breath-taking views, encompassing land, mountains and sky, this location can provide all differing holiday needs. The village of Piazzano is quiet and discreet, with no local amenities bringing outside traffic into the area. However there are small local shops, a supermarket and a plethora of excellent restaurants just a short car journey away and a daily visiting bread van, which announces its pending arrival via strains of horn- blowing from far in the distance. Villa Ida is extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped, whether for couples or larger parties and is maintained to a very high standard, with constant up-dating. Whether you require a retreat or a base for activities you will find all you need at Villa Ida!"
